Thirty-eight graduates from Haw Nan Training Center's N3 and N2 programs boarded their scheduled flights to Tokyo and Osaka this week, marking one of the center's most successful single-batch placements since its founding. The students were placed with leading manufacturing, hospitality, and services companies through Haw Nan's growing network of Japanese partner firms.
A Journey That Began Two Years Ago
For most students in Batch 42, the journey started with a single decision to enroll in the N5 Foundation course. Over 18–24 months, they progressed through structured language training, cultural immersion workshops, and rigorous JLPT mock examinations — all within the walls of the Haw Nan campus in Yangon.
"I passed N2 on my first attempt," said Kyaw Min Thu, one of the departing students. "The instructors here treat you like a professional, not just a student. That mindset shift made all the difference."

Placement Breakdown
Of the 38 students who departed, placements were distributed across several sectors:
- Manufacturing (automotive & electronics) — 18 students, based in Aichi and Kanagawa prefectures
- Hospitality & Tourism — 10 students, placed with hotel chains in Tokyo and Kyoto
- IT Support & Services — 7 students, joining the new Osaka partner firm announced in January
- Care Services (Kaigo) — 3 students, assigned to assisted-living facilities in Saitama
What Comes Next
Batch 43 enrollment is currently open, with classes commencing in May 2026. The center is targeting a cohort of 45 students for the upcoming cycle, with additional capacity added across the N4 and N3 tracks following strong demand from partner companies.
Students interested in applying are encouraged to complete their registration early, as seats in the N2 intensive track are historically filled within the first two weeks of the application window.
